Launch Day

 

What a wonderful day we had for our launch!  Thanks Liz for this photo.  We were able to see friends and neighbors as we drove off this morning on a gorgeous day.  The drive to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore went smoothly.  Our campsite is made in the shade, just like Jim likes it, with opportunity to put up a hammock for each of us.

After a restful afternoon we headed out to Dunbar Beach to watch the sunset.  At first it looked like parking would be difficult but we lucked into a spot that had a picnic table and view of the lake for us to enjoy our dinner before heading down to the beach where the surf was crashing endlessly on the shore.  

And then there was the sunset on the lake.  An excellent first day.
