About

Rose and I and our family have done quite a bit of tent camping in the past, so we are fairly proficient campers in general.  But now we're jumping into the RV world and taking advantage of living in the lap of luxury compared to sleeping on the ground in all kinds of weather!  It promises to be a big learning curve, but we're ready for the challenge.

We've decided to take a year of our lives to travel around the country on an adventure.  Our basic outline is to visit all (or most) of the 52 National Parks in the continental US.  Of course we will also be visiting plenty of National Forests, Corp of Engineer, Bureau of Land Management and State Parks along the way.
Our hope is to do a fair bit of "boondocking" (dry camping) in beautiful areas that don't have hookups (electric, water, sewer).  This, too, will be a learning experience - though it's probably closer to tent camping, so maybe we'll already be smarter than we think!

This blog/website is meant to stay in contact with our family and friends as we travel along, so thanks for checking up on us!  Feel free to hit "Subscribe" above to receive notifications when we post.
