Homes on the Beach
Are you looking for a last minute Christmas gift?
All these pictures of the beach make you want to buy your own beach home?
Well here are a few of the homes around here to give you some inspiration.
do you lean toward a modern look
prefer a sloping roof in hopes that gale force winds go right over you
something in a lavender with brown trim
it's odd even in person
pastels are big here
the house on the left was pastel blue when we got here
it was painted a very bright yellow
which is easy to find which is convenient since it is at the beach access point
this one makes me think of farmhouse Beetlejuice
this very modern home I see the back of from the RV
and then very modern
love all the windows
it comes with a long boardwalk to get over the dune
hard to tell here but this is a light lavender with cream turret
do you need a boardwalk that matches your house color
looking for uniformity with the neighbors house style
perhaps a full 3 story
or just a master suite on the 3rd floor
not big enough? even with the extension in the back
long for the pagoda roof in a simple one story
perhaps a condo
or new construction
this one has all its shutters drawn, I think with the windows
exposed it would meet your needs
light blue with dark blue railings to blend into the sky color
apparently large enough that the current occupant hasn't even opened all the shutters
this light grey sports some cathedral shaped windows
it takes a close second place for me
here is my favorite
I like the roof lines and the sunburst railings
it could use a little color in the siding
and finally for something completely different
a french chateau with wrought iron gates
not for me, but could be all you
(this is the road side view)
Just thought you might enjoy a stroll to see some of the unique beach homes.
Sweet dreams of a life on the beach.
Interesting to see how building codes have been relaxed to allow ground level build outs.
ReplyDeleteAll the beach houses are up on stilts. Some have lattice on the ground level to secure some of their toys, but there is no living area on the ground floor.
